'I am currently working on my MSc (in e-Learning and Multimedia) dissertation carrying out the research about the use of social networking software (on the example of www.ning.com) for enhancing teaching and learning practices in higher education. The study will explore the impact of collaborative learning supported by the use of web 2.0 tools.

As a number of higher education institutions have used recently emerged Web 2.0 software Ning it would be of some value to look into the case studies of its use exploring the tutors' and students' perspectives.'
