Hi Donna and thanks for the reply. It is very comforting to know that other mums are out there at uni and that it isn't as bad as what is easy to imagine. I am pretty nervous but feel really excited at the new doors opening . xx

I will try and remain calm till xmas then! I'm used to a lot of work from last year with my Alevels so hopefully it wont come as too much of a shock.
Thanks, thats really generous of you. Did you have help/advice from 2nd and 3rd years last year?
When you have a community placement where are you based? Or does it differ from person to person?

I don't know how you manage having a house and children to look after as well! Do you find that the main difficulty/stress?
Do you get any spare time during reading weeks or is it A LOT of reading?? Your placement sounds so exciting, it is definitely what im looking forward to the most. My first placement is in community, which I'm pleased about as I was worrying about being thrown in the deep end with delivery!!
Any suggestions of where i could find acceptable placement shoes?

Is there a lot of time to mix with 2nd and 3rd years at uni?
What are you doing at the moment?

hi,
First day went ok, although I did feel very nervous! Met some really nice people so less apprehensive about starting next Monday.
Just looking at my timetable, can't believe where all the (school) holidays have gone! Will have to get used to life in the real world!! I have found out that my personal tutor is Julia Pansini-Murrell. Have you met her?
Did you enjoy your first year? Have you any top tips?
Thanks, Victoria x
